2017 New Costume Picks
With Halloween ’17 right around the corner (holy cow it’s almost September!), we have a lot of really cool new costumes available this year. After checking out page after page (wow, we have a lot of new stuff!) I think I’ve managed to narrow down a few of my favorites, here are my 2017 new costume picks.
New Women’s Costumes:

Bird Attack Adult Costume: I love this Bird Attack costume. As a fan of old scary movies, I remember being really frightened watching Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds”, which has lead to my life long dislike of crows.
Rich Witch Adult Costume: This costume is a fun style of a great classic. When it comes to dressing up for Halloween, you really can’t go wrong with a nice witch costume. You can go creepy with some fun make-up and/or prosthetics, or you can go the seductive route. This costume is more of a sexy witch, but it’s still simple, making it a new favorite.
New Men’s Costumes:

Freak Show Ringmaster Adult Costume: I love that the closer Halloween is, the creepier things are. For instance, taking a circus ringleader and changing that concept into a scary freak show ringleader, complete with a scary skeleton mask. Some elements of a circus are kind of creepy on their own, but the obviously scary elements of this costume make it one of my picks for favorite new costume.
Deluxe Voodoo Witch Doctor Adult Costume: I’m fascinated by the history and stories of old Voodoo. I’m still not sure if I believe in it or not, but based on the history, the thought of it is pretty scary. I wouldn’t want to mess with anyone associated with Voodoo, which makes this costume another new favorite of mine.

Voodoo Dolly Plus Size Costume: I LOVE this costume! We have been carrying the non-plus size of this costume already, and it has been one of my favorites, so I’m very excited that it is now available in plus size. It features an adorable spin on a “voodoo” doll with markings to show where to cause pain. Its a cute party dress style costume, and any costume that includes fun accessories to add to your hair is a win for me.
Dalmatian Diva Plus Size Costume: This costume looks a lot like a certain puppy nabbing villain, which I love. I also love that this costume has a little bit of a vintage flair, as it is styled like a wiggle dress. You can’t not love the bows on the slit in the back.

Freak In A Box Plus Size Costume: This is one of my picks for favorite new costumes because it’s fun with the trick that you only see the spring coming out of a box with a clown face, but, that clown face is also pretty creepy. This costume makes scares easy, if that’s what you’re going for this Halloween.
Scallywag Pirate Plus Size Costume: I picked this costume as one of my favorites because I really love the colors. I feel like it’s unique for a pirate costume, as pirate costumes more often than not feature a combination of my favorites black, white, and red. The combination of blues makes this stand out to me, I think it would look great with some gritty pirate make-up effects.
New Girl’s Costumes:

Ghost Girl Child Costume: This costume includes a lot of elements that I absolutely love, so there’s no surprise that this costume is one of my favorites this year. This costume includes a super cute design with the skull, crossbones, and heart detailing. It has a polka dot print, and I love polka dots. I love, love, love the cute hair piece that is included with this costume.
Voodoo Witch Child Costume: It probably looks like I have selected a favorite theme, as a few of my favorites include a voodoo element. I picked this costume because I love the frilly skirt and jacket styled top combo. In case you haven’t noticed my attraction to hair accessories, I also love the hat.
New Boy’s Costumes:

Wild West Sheriff/Outlaw Child Costume: I selected this costume as a favorite for this year because I love the versatility of it. The badge can be worn, and the bandanna can be worn around the neck to look like a wild west sheriff. Alternatively, wear the bandanna around your face, lose the badge, and add the money bag accessory and you look like you just looted your local bank like a wild west outlaw. This is not only a fun costume for Halloween, its a great costume for play time.
Ghastly Gargoyle: I love that the pattern of the fabric of this costume actually looks like stone. The mask is also pretty creepy for a child’s costume. I selected this costume as a favorite for this year because it’s not a traditional thing to dress up as at Halloween if you’re trying to scare people, but I think it’s actually a very scary costume.
New Infant/Toddler Costumes:

Koala Toddler Costume: I love this toddler costume! It looks so soft and cuddly, but my favorite part is there is a pouch in the costume that includes a stuffed animal koala. Your baby can carry around it’s very own baby just like a real koala. This adorable detail makes this one of my favorite new costumes.
Cupcake Cutie Infant Costume: Cupcakes are always fun, colorful, and lets not forget delicious. Cupcakes are popular because they’re the best for getting a sample of something delicious to satisfy our sweet tooth. With social media platforms like Instagram being so popular, it’s like a competition to find the best dressed dessert. This year, I think the Cupcake Cutie Infant Costume wins for best dressed dessert.

Baby Unicorn Infant/Toddler Costume: Unicorns seem to be blowing up this year, with Unicorn themed coffee drinks, unicorn themed beauty products, and the unicorn theme popping up so much in pop culture. In addition to unicorns being so popular, this costume is one of my favorite costumes this year because it’s just so cute. This pink unicorn is hard to pass up with it’s unicorn face hood and soft body.
Bitty Bat Infant/Toddler Costume: This is one of my favorite new costumes for this year because I love when companies take a typically scary Halloween element and make it cute. This Bitty Bat costume is a perfect example. My favorite part is the black and purple wings attached to the arms, so cute!
New Pet Costumes:

Hula Girl Pet Costume: I have always loved hula dancers, which probably has influenced my selection. This Hula Girl costume would look adorable on any breed, my favorite part of this costume is the cute coconut bra.
Pineapple Pet Costume: This Pineapple costume would make a great match for the Hula Girl costume, if you have multiple pets. If not, this is cute on it’s own. I love the poofy-ness of the pineapple body, which makes it a favorite new costume.
