What to Wear: Disney Villain-Inspired Masquerade Outfits
Earlier this year, we created Disney Princess-inspired masquerade outfit ideas for Mardi Gras season and we couldn’t resist having another go at this concept. Luckily, Mardi Gras isn’t the only reason to attend a masquerade. In fact, New Year’s Eve parties often have masquerade themes, which is why we’ve created a whole new set of outfits for you. This time, we’ve taken inspiration from some of our troublemakers to create these Disney Villain-inspired masquerade outfits.
Maleficent
For our Maleficent look, we took a black gown with green details and matched it with purple jewelry. We picked accessories with designs that felt reminiscent of the deadly mistress such as a snake-wrapped pendant necklace and a masquerade mask with a wing design.
Evil Queen
Inspired by the Evil Queen’s outfit, we picked a purple gown with black panels to match her color scheme. We also found a masquerade mask that matches it perfectly with sparkly rhinestones to emphasis her royal status. For the accessories, we carefully selected a pendant with a red stone in the center to match the one she wears.
Jafar
To recreate a look inspired by Aladdin’s Jafar, we took a structured color-blocked dress to mimic his cold manner. We accessorized the outfit with gold hammered metals and a bold feather mask in the same color scheme.
Ursula
The evil sea witch is probably one of the most fabulous villains of all. She’s sassy and quite a bit of a showstopper when it comes to her evil plans. That’s why we picked this glittery purple gown. The shell jewelry was a must and the glittered mask in purple and black make the perfect match.
Queen of Hearts
For our Queen of Hearts look, we went with a theme of roses which is a pretty obvious choice. From the gown to the jewelry, each piece has a hint of rose. We finished the look with our Red Queen mask which was practically made for this look if you ask us.
