Los Angeles Oktoberfest Events
Oktoberfest will begin soon and if you haven’t decided where to celebrate the biggest beer festival in the world, then you’ll need to start making plans now! Believe us; you do not have to travel all the way to Munich to partake in Oktoberfest (although it is definitely on the to-do list). With Bavarian culture having such a big influence in America, there are plenty of Oktoberfest events happening all over the country during this time. Since we’re in the Los Angeles area, we wanted to share with you a few local Oktoberfest events that you might want to check out. Take a look at these Southern California Oktoberfest destinations and decide which one you’ll be visiting this year!
Alpine Village (Torrance, CA)
Alpine Village is probably the most popular spot to celebrate Oktoberfest in the Los Angeles area. This whimsical little area will give you a big dose of Bavarian culture. Featuring souvenir shops, food markets, a restaurant and a bierhall, you’ll be able to experience all that Oktoberfest has to offer! They even fly in Oom Pah Pah bands from Germany to keep things authentic. Best of all, patrons dressed in German and Bavarian costumes get in for free on Sundays! LA Oktoberfest 2013
This year, LA Oktoberfest will be held right in Downtown LA between October 25th to 27th to celebrate three days of German beer, food, and music. This event is being held to raise funds for various local charities. For just $100, you can enjoy unlimited beer, early admission and a free stein while light drinkers who want to come and enjoy the atmosphere can purchase admission at $35 which includes one free glass of beer and a stein.
The Old World (Huntington Beach, CA)
The Old World is a shopping and entertainment center that celebrates Oktoberfest right in the heart of the OC. At The Old World, you can expect to sample German beers and food, listen to live bands, and even catch a parade! Their bratwurst has been voted the best in California and they even have sexy Oktoberfest shot girls to keep the drinks coming all day (and night) long!
