Halloween Costumes Preview – New for 2014
Halloween is only a few short weeks away and a lot of you are already looking to find the perfect costume for the year. With so many different options out there, it can be a little difficult to see what’s new, that’s why we’re giving you a preview of what we’ll have in store this season. From superheroes to your favorite TV show characters and everything in between, we’ve got a great selection for everyone in the family. Take a look at some of our top picks of the year below.
Star Wars
This year, we’ve beefed up our selection of Star Wars costumes. Star Wars has always been a popular movie and with the upcoming sequels, the fandom is only getting larger. That’s why this successful movie franchise has topped our list this year.
TMNT
The TMNT are back and in full effect! Not only is its cartoon series reboot a big hit among kids,they’ve com eout of their shells and into the silver screen spotlight with the recent movie release. This Halloween, you can look forward to seeing your favorite heroes in a half-shell with styles for adults, boys, and girls! We’ve also brought on plenty more character favorites including April O’Neil and Casey Jones into the mix for our cosplay enthusiasts.
Retro WWII Pin Up Girls
As far as sexy goes, it doesn’t get any better than this. Leg Avenue always does a great job with its sexy costumes (here) and once again kills it this year with their newest 1940’s pin-up costumes. Featuring WWII themed uniforms with a retro flair, you’ll find on-trend elements like cropped tops and high-waisted bottoms.
Twisted Fairy Tales
Fairy tales still hold their magic, but lately we’ve noticed a new trend. Many brands have started a new trend of re-imagining characters to fit a modern perspective. We’ve seen this in Mattel’s newest creation – Ever After High, a new set of dolls accompanied by a video series that follows the children of fairy tale characters in a unique tale of destiny.
Medieval Mayhem
Once again, medieval costumes make their way to the spotlight. With notorious popular televisions show and movies (think Game of Thrones, 300: Rise of an Empire, and Hercules) dominating every entertainment news article you can think of, it’s no wonder these costumes are already flying off the shelves. Last but not least, superheroes. Comic book legends never seem to die and in fact, more and more keep crawling out of the archives.
