Star Wars Day

Here at Pure Costumes HQ, Star Wars Day has always been our favorite day of the year (second to Halloween, of course).

It is the one day when the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire come together to celebrate the largest entertainment franchise in the universe – and, one the greatest stories to ever capture the hearts and minds (and, money – Ohhh sooo much money) of countless fans for more than 30 years.

This day also presents a problem for those who don’t live in a galaxy far, far away.  How do you celebrate the occasion?

Shoot First
Its simple.  Go first at everything.  Walk through all the hatches first – don’t wait for the droids.

It’s A Trap!
Remember that famous scene when Admiral Ackbar realises that it’s a trap?  Today only, yell “It’s A Trap!” for anything that happens today.

Get Jiggy With The Imperial March
Download the Star Wars soundtrack to your cell phone, and play the Imperial March track on repeat over your speakers all day long.  Its really impressive when you walk down the hallways of your office building with march playing from your pocket.  Your colleagues in the office will love you for it.

Be Cocky
Follow in the footsteps of our favorite smuggler Han Solo by saying, “I know” anytime someone tell some something

Do Jedi Mind Tricks

• Think about what you want the other person to believe
• Wave your hand as you say it to them
• Say it another 100 times (when they walk away, you win)

Use the Force
Don’t pretend you’ve never used the Force to open automatic doors.  Everyone has.
Today, do it all day long with grocery store and elevator doors.  It works best when you with a crowd of people.  Just wave your hand to the side as the doors open or close.

Luke, I Am Your Father
Anytime you hear someone named Luke, say “Luke, I Am Your Father”.  They’ve never heard that one before.

Cruisin’ in ‘Da Speeder
Go on a roadtrip in your Land Speeder with the top down.  Stop into your favorite Cantina for nice refreshing glass of Algarine.
