The Original Renaissance and Pleasure Faire, April 6-May 19 Saturdays and Sundays, Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area, Irwindale
It’s Renn Faire season! Visit the Renaissance and Pleasure Faire to travel back in time! You’ll find Renaissance royalty, knights in shining armor, fairies, performances, and demonstrations. Bring your wallets to buy some of the coolest medieval and fantasy related clothing and curios! Don’t forget about the loads of food and beers you’ll want to sample at each pub! This year’s themed weekends include: Time Travelers aka Steampunk, Pirates, RennConn aka a medieval themed comic convention, Heroes and Villains, and the all new Monsters and Magic Weekend! To get the most out of your Renn Faire experience, don’t forget to dress up!
Monsterpalooza, April 12-14, Pasadena Convention Center
If you love all things creepy, Monsterpalooza is the convention for you! Whether you’re a horror fanatic, or love the magic of movie monster makeup, you’ll find something awesome at Monsterpalooza! This three day convention has special guests, makeup demos, a monster museum, over a 450 vendors, and more! Monsterpalooza is the perfect convention to make it feel like Halloween in the middle of Spring!
Minefaire, April 13-14, Los Angeles Convention Center
If you or your child loves Minecraft, you don’t want to miss this official Minecraft Community event! At Minefaire you’ll find live gaming, virtual reality experiences, and your favorite YouTubers all in one place! You can learn from Minecraft’s game developers, shop at the world’s largest official Minecraft store, and build a LEGO Minecraft figure of your own! There’s even a super fun costume contest, so don;t forget your best Minecraft costume!
Dapper Day, April 14, Disneyland, Anaheim
It’s time to get dress up and head to the Happiest Place on Earth! Dapper Day is back for its Spring outing in the parks! On Dapper Day you’ll find hundreds of people dressed up in their finest vintage clothing for a day of Disney fun. Head to Downtown Disney fro the Dapper Day Expo where you can shop with vintage vendors, watch live band performances, learn to swing dance, and even get a vintage haircut! Inside the parks you’ll find many characters dressed up too as you visit the attractions in style! Add a Disney themed twist to your outfit for a Dapper Disneybound that’s sure to impress!
Anime Pasadena, April 20, Pasadena Convention Center
Anime Pasadena is back for its 2nd year! Though this con is young, it still brings all the fun! At Anime Pasadena, you’ll find over 130 vendors, live music, karaoke, cosplay, panels, and even a fashion show! It’s the perfect way to get the Anime convention experience without the crowds. Not into Anime? No problem! This convention includes all things nerdy from Comic Books to Sci-Fi, and even gaming! Don’t forget to wear a fun costume to get the full experience!
