Los Angeles Costume Events: March 2018
March is here and 2018 is flying by quickly! You would expect this month’s round-up of costume events to only include St. Patrick’s Day events, but there’s so much more than that! I combed through the overload of Irish themed bar crawls to find some unique events for this month!
Wastelanders Ball 2018 – March 10 at the Globe Theatre in LA
At this unique event, a toxic wasteland combines with an elegant party to form something completely unique! If you’ve ever imagined what prom would be like in a nuclear wasteland, this event is perfect for you! Dress up in your hottest post apocalyptic, steampunk, and military surplus couture and get ready for a night of fun!
The Planes of Fame Hangar Dance and WWII Warbird Party – March 10 at The Planes of Fame Air Museum
You can travel back in time to the 1940s for a classic night of dancing surrounded by World War II planes! Dress in your best 1940s apparel or military uniform and get ready to swing the night away! The night begins with a free dance lesson so be sure to get there early!
Potter/Disney Day: The Harry’est Place – March 18 at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Universal Studios Hollywood
Unofficial dress-up days at amusements parks are gaining popularity! This unofficial day at Universal Studios is sure to attract people from across fandoms! Potter/Disney Day creates an epic mashup of Harry Potter and Disney characters! The day includes events like group photos, lunch, drinks, and even riding rides together!
WonderCon 2018 – March 23-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center
If you couldn’t get tickets to this year’s San Diego Comic Con, go to WonderCon! This is the sister con to the big San Diego show and is by the same creators. This is the place to find all things comics, movies, TV, and animation! And you can spend the day dressed as your favorite characters! Find related events happening all weekend like meetups and even a cosplay themed nightclub!
