The Homelander – Superman, Thor

Aside from his not so nice hidden personality, The Homelander is 100% a Superman clone. Comparing him to Superman wouldn’t be right without also comparing him to Marvel’s answer for Superman, AKA Thor!

What makes them similar:

Superman (DC)

  • Superhuman strength
  • Invulnerability
  • Superhuman speed
  • Heat vision
  • Flight
  • Superhuman hearing
  • X-Ray vision

Thor (Marvel)

  • Superhuman strength
  • Invulnerability
  • Superhuman speed
  • Flight
  • Superhuman hearing

Queen Maeve- Wonder Woman, Valkyrie

Looking at Queen Maeve’s outfit alone will make you immediately think of Wonder Woman, but once you learn her powers, she seems like an almost complete copy. She even has similarities with another mythical female hero, Valkyrie, from the Marvel Universe.

What makes them similar:

Wonder Woman (DC)

  • Superhuman strength
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman agility/reflexes
  • Superhuman stamina
  • Accelerated healing
  • Expert in hand-to-hand combat

Valkyrie (Marvel)

  • Superhuman Strength
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman agility/reflexes
  • Superhuman stamina
  • Accelerated healing
  • Expert in hand-to-hand combat

Black Noir- Slade/Deathstroke, Deadpool

(SPOILER ALERT) Black Noir turns out to be a clone of The Homelander but his whole vibe matches better with heroes whose powers are not similar to Homelander’s. This made finding his popular hero counterpart was a little difficult. While many compare him to Batman, in my opinion, Batman being a broody man in a suit but without enhanced powers just wasn’t good enough for the comparison. I went with Slade/Deathstroke and Deadpool for both their overall looks and their powers.

What makes them similar:

Slade/Deathstroke (DC)

  • Enhanced strength
  • Enhanced durability
  • Enhanced agility
  • Enhanced hearing
  • Martial Arts
  • Weaponry skills

Deadpool (Marvel)

  • Superhuman strength
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman agility
  • Weaponry skills

Starlight- Supergirl, Karolina Dean

Unlike other heroes, the newest member of The Seven has many famous hero counterparts. From her suit and personality to her actual powers, people are split on which hero Starlight resembles most. I chose Supergirl and Karolina Dean for a combination of looks, powers, and values.

What makes them similar:

Supergirl (DC)

  • Energy absorption
  • Superhuman strength
  • Enhanced durability

Karolina Dean (Marvel)

  • Energy absorption
  • Light energy blasts
  • Bioluminescence

A-Train- The Flash, Quicksilver

A-Train is your typical super powered speedster. It was easy to find his popular hero counterpart as there are handfuls to choose from. I chose The Flash and Quicksilver, the most popular speedsters of their respective universes.

What makes them similar:

The Flash (DC)

  • Superhuman speed
  • Superhuman agility/reflexes
  • Accelerated healing
  • Enhanced durability

Quicksilver (Marvel)

  • Superhuman speed
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman strength

The Deep – Aquaman, Namor

From costume to abilities, The Deep matches up with Aquaman perfectly! Matching with Aquaman also means matching with his Marvel twin hero, Namor. Namor’s personality may even match The Deep’s more due to Namor’s habit of switching back and forth between hero and villain. However, when it comes to their abilities, you can see that the powers of all three match up perfectly.

What makes them similar:

Aquaman (DC)

  • Superhuman strength
  • Aquatic telepathy
  • Enhanced swimming
  • Ability to breath underwater
  • Enhanced durability

Namor (Marvel)

  • Superhuman Strength
  • Aquatic telepathy
  • Enhanced swimming
  • Ability to breath underwater/Gills
  • Enhanced durability

Translucent – Martian Manhunter, Emma Frost

Translucent’s unique skin-related powers reminded me immediately of Emma Frost of the Marvel Universe. However finding a DC counterpart proved to be a little more difficult. I eventually found that Martian Manhunter and Translucent shared some similar powers.

What makes them similar:

Martian Manhunter (DC)

  • Invisibility
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman strength

Emma Frost (Marvel)

  • Illusion of invisibility
  • Skin hardening
  • Enhanced durability
  • Superhuman strength
