Anime Expo– July 4-7, Los Angeles Convention Center
Anime Expo is back and bigger and better than ever! Spend your Fourth of July weekend with a bunch of anime fans and Japanese culture lovers! With hundreds of vendors and round the clock entertainment, you’ll never get bored! Meet your favorite creators and both Japanese and English voice actors for your favorite shows from your childhood to today. Visit a Maid Cafe, the Game Room, or round the clock dance party for fun with friends. You can even watch premieres like My Hero Academia Season 4 and Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back before anyone else! and This year, Anime Expo is even hosting a huge Street Fighter Cosplay Tournament where video game performance meets cosplay competition! Grab your Anime costumes and join the fun!
Comic Con International: San Diego– July 18-21, San Diego Convention Center
Get ready for entertainment’s biggest event of the year! At SDCC you’ll find panels with your favorite celebrities and entertainment professionals. If you’re brave enough to wait in hours long lines for huge studios like Marvel and DC, you’ll get cool sneak peaks. Get insider info on all the big movies coming that year and announcements for new projects! Couldn’t get tickets to this epic event? Don’t worry! This con is too big for the convention center to contain! Hang around the convention center and Downtown San Diego area for free pop up shops and fan events.
Diagon Alley Craft Faire– July 27, Geeky Teas & Games, Burbank
Support local artists and artisans while showing your love for the Harry Potter Universe at this cool pop up faire! At this cool faire you can buy handmade Harry Potter themed items from local fans! This cool event is held at a cool nerd themed cafe so you can buy some cool Harry Potter merch, play table top games, read your favorite book in the series, all with a themed drink or snack! Dress up in your Hogwarts robes, 1920’s attire, or dress as your favorite witch or wizard to have an even more magical time!
