Tips for Surviving a Zombiepocalypse

Tips for Surviving a Zombiepocalypse

We all hope we’re never put in this situation, but lets pretend like the world has changed… and the undead is thriving. You want to make sure you’re making wise choices to protect yourself and the people you care about. We have compiled a few important tips for keeping yourself alive if you find yourself in a situation where it has hit the fan.

1. Select a weapon.

You need to make sure you can protect yourself from the undead, but you must also consider how long it may last you. A weapon like a gun may seem like a great idea, as you can hit your undead target from a great distance before you’re in danger, but once you’re out of ammo your goose may be cooked. A weapon like a katana is great, because the length allows for you hit your enemy before they’re close enough to touch you. The only problem is, not everybody has a spare katana sharpened and ready to go in the case of disaster. As far as a good weapon you’re more likely to have in your home, I think a well made axe or a baseball bat are good options for protection in the case of a zombiepocalypse.

2. Avoid windows.
If you need to stay put temporarily while you come up with a plan, stay away from any windows. From years of watching horror movies, we have learned that if you are near a window you are an easy target for a psychopath killer, or in this case, a very hungry zombie.

3. Choose your get-away vehicle wisely.
If the world is being over run by flesh-hungry monsters, chances are gas supply is going to be a low priority. Try to keep that in mind when selecting your get-away vehicle and even your destination. If you’re jumping into a gas guzzling truck with a quarter tank of gas, it may not take you very far.

4. Watch your back.
Sometimes zombies are the least of your worries. Unfortunately during a zombiepocalypse you must always watch your back. Even someone whom you considered a best friend may throw you under the bus to save themselves. Stress tends to bring out the worst in people, imagine how stressful it must be to constantly feel like you’re being hunted by the undead. Make sure your survival group has your best interests in mind as well as their own.

5. Build a community.
There is power in numbers, once you find a group of like-minded, trust-worthy individuals, it would be wise to stick together and rebuild a community. It would also help to bring some sort of normalcy back into your lives. Begin to farm, grow your own food to make sure your community doesn’t go hungry.

We hope you have found our tips to be useful, and we all hope they never need to be utilized. Do you have some great tips that we didn’t mention? Let us know in the comments below.

Part time Disney princess, but I love the Disney villains. I enjoy things that are spooky such as zombies, skeletons, and bad witches. I enjoy sewing projects and making delicious food and treats. My favorite superhero is Batman, because I am the night.
