This month, three of the largest meetups of the year are holding digital conventions that you can stream! So tune in, grab your costume or your comfy clothes and have a mini con at home with these July 2020 Los Angeles Costume Events!

Anime Expo Lite– July 3-4th, YouTube and Twitch

AX is bringing the celebration online with two days of streaming. AX Lite will feature tons of special guests, anime and gaming industry news, panels, giveaways and more! They’re even bringing their famed cosplay contest online with a new twist! Competitors are encourage to make a face mask that matches their cosplay and supports safe practices during the COVID-19 crisis.

California Mermaid Con– July 10-12th, Multiple streaming platforms

For years, California Mermaid Con has been a weekend where Merfolk from all over meet up to make their dreams come true! Both professional mermaids and mermaid enthusiasts attend the event. This year’s digital version features panels, swimming and posing classes, costume workshops, online vendors, fashion shows, and more. Be sure to join the the Digital Bubble Ball in your best mermaid costume for an online dance party and costume contest!

Comic Con at Home, July 22-26th, YouTube and Twitch

San Diego Comic Con is the biggest comic and pop culture event of the year, so con goers were sad to learn it was cancelled. Luckily the creators of SDCC are bringing it to the internet with 4 days of live streaming! In addition to panels, industry announcements, and Q & A sessions, Comic Con at Home will include a virtual exhibit hall and virtual Comic Con Museum! And it’s all free! Be sure to join in on virtual interactive events that will be announced as the date gets closer.

Even though events look a lot different. We can still have fun enjoying the things we love thanks to technology!
