SheroCon – March 7, Westfield Mall Culver City
SheroCon is the perfect event to kick off Women’s History Month. This FREE, one day event celebrates female comic book artistsm writers, cosplayers, and local sheroes of the LA community. At this event you’ll find an all female artist alley, makeup demos, raffles, face painting, and a cosplay contest! Gather the sheroes in your life and head to the mall for a comic book filled day of fun.
You can travel back in time to the 1940s for a classic night of dancing surrounded by World War II planes! Dress in your best 1940s apparel or military uniform and get ready to swing the night away! The night begins with a free dance lesson so be sure to get there early!
SoCal Gaming Expo– March 27-29, Pasadena Convention Center
Get ready for a weekend of nostalgia at this fun expo dedicated to retro games! At this con you’ll find the usual panels, celebrity meet and greets, photo ops and cosplay, but you also get a huge game room full of your favorite retro games! This expo is the perfect opportunity to nerd out with fellow gamers and relive the golden years of gaming!
Hey, fans of Super Smash Bros, Tekken, and Final Fantasy, this event is for you! This two day event is a fun-filled tournament of all three video game properties. Don’t want to compete? Visit the arcade for some fun, non-competitive play. Costumes are encouraged as there will be a cosplay contest and an exclusive gift given to those in costume!
