After two years, Los Angeles Comic Con is finally back! This year LACC moved from it’s usual Fall date to December to give the planners more time to create a COVID safe environment. An extra exhibit hall was added, and ticket sales were limited to make sure attendees had plenty of room to spread out and stay safe over the weekend. My con squad and I headed out to see what the cosplay scene was like!
After the low-key cosplays and general lax vibes of San Diego Comic Con, I was unsure what to expect from LACC. From Day One, it was obvious everyone went all out! From cosplayers to the event team and exhibitors themselves, this felt like the cons we were used to before the pandemic. Minus the masks of course!
Overall, LA Comic Con brought the fun and good times that SD Comic Con Special Edition was missing. It brings me hope that we can return to conventions and have as much fun as we used to before the pandemic.
