Katy Perry kicked off her Prismatic World Tour earlier this month. She started her tour in Belfast, Ireland. The singer prepared for her world tour by collaborating with the best designers in the fashion industry. They helped create some glamorous costumes (click here), which is a step up from her California Dreams Tour.

Perry gave fans a sneak peek at her costumes during a 10-day countdown, which started back in April. She posted photos of the designers’ sketches that she’s been seen wearing on stage. Her first post was a ying-yang crop top with a matching hoop skirt. The loud design was created by Johnny Wujek and Marco Marco. She also revealed a smiley face top, skirt and leggings designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino.

Roberto Cavalli created two designs for the pop singer. One of the designs is complete with prismatic crystals that produce a kaleidoscope effect. The other design is a pastel prismatic motorcycle jacket over a crystallized two-piece outfit.

Perry will also wear her “birthday suit,” but it’s not what you think. This flesh-tone bodysuit is embellished with birthday party themes. Perry will wear the costume during her sexy performance for “Birthday,” the fourth single released late last month. During the performance, she invites a lucky fan or celeb up on stage as she gives them a scandalous lap dance.

Another sketch includes a beautiful butterfly gown designed by Valentino. It includes a multi-colored hooded robe with butterfly wings. This extravagant gown is reminiscent of Butterfly Princess Barbie, which was made popular during the years of 1994 to 1995. She’ll wear the costume during her acoustic performances of “By the Grace of God,” “Thinking of You,” “The One That Got Away,” “Double Rainbow,” and “Unconditionally.”

Of course, the tour won’t be complete without the Egyptian-themed dress for the hot single, “Dark Horse.” The outfit is designed by Fausto Puglisi. It gives an ode to Perry’s costume in the colorful and crazy music video.

The singer will also wear a sexy curve-hugging hot pink leopard print cat suit designed by The Blonds. Perry helped designed some of these costumes alongside the designers. The singer also has been hands-
on when it comes to her tour outfits. She was the brains behind the Cupcake Costume (click here) for her California Dreams Tour.

The Prismatic World Tour began during the week of May 16. It will include multiple dates in Scotland, England, and Northern Ireland. The U.S. leg of the tour kicks off on June 22 in Raleigh, North Carolina, and will end on October 10 in Houston, Texas. The second leg of the tour also takes place in Canada and Mexico. There is also a third leg of the tour, which will kick off in Oceania from November through December 2014.

This tour is expected to sell out as Prism climbed to the top of the Billboard 200 charts. “Roar” was the first and most successful single off the album. Perry received Grammy nominations for Song of the Year and Best Solo Performance earlier this year at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards.
