What to Wear: Christmas Caroling Outfits
‘Tis the season to be jolly! And what better way to spread the holiday cheer than by going out and singing Christmas carols around your neighborhood? Whether you’re going with a club, school, choir, or church, you better make sure you’re dressed just right! If you’re not sure what to wear when you go Christmas caroling, don’t fret, we’ve pulled together a few Christmas caroling outfits for you!

First we’ve put together dressy looks for a woman as well as one for a man. It’s going to be cold out there, so layering is going to be key to staying nice and toasty. For the ladies we started off with a white turtleneck over a pair of festive red pants. We threw a warm black coat over it all and finished the look off with a red scarf and a pair of low heeled boots that will serve you well while you’re walking from door to door. For the guys, we have a crisp white dress shirt with a red tie over black pants and a pair of nice dress shoes. Don’t forget a plaid scarf and a black pea coat will help to keep you warm. To finish off both looks and for a unifying overall look for your whole group, don’t forget your bright red Santa hats!

Our second set is, of course, our favorite and is for anyone who wants to go all out in full costume! The tradition of caroling from door to door came about in Europe during the Victorian ages. It was during this time that many songs that are still popular today were written. So in order to fully get into the spirit of Christmas caroling, why not get into full Victorian getup to spread some holiday magic?
The first pair of costumes is the Christmas Caroler and the Caroling Gentlemen costumes. In cheerful red and green, these are the perfect period costumes to go caroling in while also staying nice and warm! You can also think outside of the box and not go for an actual caroler costume. We found that this Victorian Vixen costume is just bright and festive enough to spread cheer through song. Lastly, our Edwardian Gent costume for men also has a Victorian look that will fit right in and would look just as merry when you’re belting out holiday songs.
Christmas caroling is a beautiful and sweet tradition, so whatever you decide to wear, don’t forget to just have lots of fun while you’re bringing smiles to the faces of people around your community.
