Sunday Funday: Long Beach Comic Expo

We had so much fun on our last cosplay adventure that we couldn’t wait to do it again. Luckily for us, we just heard about the annual Long Beach Comic Expo which is scheduled to return at the end of this month.

Hosted by the same folks in charge of the Long Beach Comic Con, this event will connect artists and fans and cosplayers alike. The event will be held from February 28 to March 1 at the Long Beach Convention Center. Aside from the dozens of vendors and artists, the show will also include the GeekFest Film Festival which will feature a variety of independent films. In addition, there will be a huge cosplay contest with hundreds of dollars in cash prizes in categories such as best group costume, best construction, and more. Most recently, they announced that comic book couple Tara Butters (writer for Agent Carter) and Marc Guggenheim (executive producer of Arrow) will be in attendance, so that should be pretty exciting.

That’s not all! This year, we will be in attendance and live tweet the event! From interesting artwork to unique cosplay, show exclusives and more, we’ll do our own little play by play for those who won’t be able to attend.
