Looking for some summer swashbuckling fun? We’ve got you covered! Across the country, pirate festivals are being held in celebration of sea-loving scoundrels of the olden days. With celebrations and events happening from coast to coast, you can partake in the merrymaking too! Here’s our list of pirate festivals and celebrations across America.

Sea Dog Nights and Gypsy Carnival, July 17-21 – Lebanon, OR
Over in Lebanon, OR, pirates and gypsies come together to play. Guests can partake in pirate games and activities including a competition, dance classes and workshops, and treasure hunts. With an area for camping, you can make this a whole weekend event with the family.

Swashbucklers’ Soiree, July 23 – Galveston, TX
To be held at the Galveston Arts Center, this annual swashbuckler celebration is being held to raise money for its educational programs. Visitors are invited to come in pirate attire and to participate in its numerous activities food, entertainment and a silent auction.

Fishermen’s Village Pirate Fest, July 25-27 – Punta Gorda, FL
Close to the Caribbean, the Fishermen’s Village in Punta Gorda, FL will be holding its 6th annual Pirate Fest. Visitors come from far and wide to partake in a variety of pirate activities including treasure hunts, costume contests, parades and more. In addition, guests can expect to see live bands, a fire show spectacular and even mermaids!

Sterling Renaissance Festival Pirate Invasion, July 26-27 – Sterling, NY
Over at the annual Sterling Renaissance Festival in New York, the folks have dedicated a day just for pirates! Pirate bands singing songs of the sea will perform alongside a variety of pirate-themed activities like costume contests and pirate auctions.

Big Bear Renaissance Faire, August 2-17 (weekends only) – Big Bear, CA
This Renaissance fair in the woods encompasses the glory of the Medieval times by combining queens and knights with pirates and peasants. Hosted by a non-profit organization aimed at providing historical education to children, this event is sure to be fun for the whole family.

Midlands Pirate Festival, August 23-24 – Papillion, NE
Beach-side cities aren’t the only ones celebrating pirates this summer. Over in Nebraska, the Bellevue Berry and Pumpkin Patch will be hosting this year’s Midlands Pirate Festival. Pirate-themed entertainment, costume contests and treasure hunts are just some of the fun and excitement you’ll find here.
