Los Angeles Area Costume Events: February 2020
|Now that you’ve rested up from the holiday rush and gotten the ball rolling for 2020, it’s time to have some fun again! We’ve rounded up a few fun costume events to keep your costume craving satisfied even in February.
Bright Lights Movie Night, February 1st and 8th, Galaxy Bar Hollywood
Mix your love for partying and love for movies together for a fun night unlike any other. At this event you can party in a Star Wars spaceship while Grammy nominated DJ Bright Lights mixes together club hits with your favorite movie soundtracks. Come in your best Star Wars inspired outfits, grab your lightsaber, and get ready to dance the night away AND get some cool pics for your Instagram!
Gallifrey One – February 14-16, Marriott Los Angeles Airport
Doctor Who Fans, get ready for the 31st year of this annual North American Doctor Who celebration! Join fellow Whovians for a weekend of trivia, panels, discussions, and a costume contest. Stock up on Doctor Who collectibles and art, check out the Doctor Who fashion show, and even stick around for karaoke and a Masquerade. This event is perfect for Doctor Who fans whether you’ve been watching for years and years, or just got into the show!
Endless Night Los Angeles Vampire Ball – February 16, The Globe Theatre Los Angeles
The Los Angeles Vampire Ball is often described as what you get when a Venetian Masquerade Ball meets a Vampire Court. Dress up in your best Edwardian, Victorian, or present day vampire inspired fashions for an elegant evening of socializing and dark performances. Fangs encouraged! This year the theme is “Anti Valentine’s Day” so bring out your most elegant, deep red clothing.
Wastelander’s Ball– February 29th, The Globe Theatre Los Angeles
Brought to you by the creators of Wasteland Weekend, this unique event combines a toxic wasteland with an elegant party to form something completely unique! If you’ve ever imagined what prom would be like in a nuclear wasteland, this event is perfect for you. Different levels of the theatre will feature different musical guests, performers, and even a magician! This year will include a new, Cyberpunk twist! Dress up in your hottest post apocalyptic, Steampunk, Cyberpunk, and military surplus couture and get ready for a night of fun!
