Irish Nachos Recipe for St. Patrick’s Day
|St. Patrick’s Day is coming up and if you’re skipping the crowded bars to host a celebration at home, you can still get the good old pub feeling with some hearty fare and plenty of beer. To help you create that Irish pub feel, we wanted to share with you a delicious recipe to snack on with your friends. We call it Irish nachos! Although it’s not quite a traditional Irish dish, this Irish nachos recipe for St. Patrick’s Day takes popular Irish flavors and combines them to create a fun and delicious snack.
Ingredients
- Russet Potatoes
- Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Corned Beef
- Shredded Cabbage
- Sour Cream
- Green Onions
Directions
Cut the potatoes into thin slices like potato chips. If you have a vegetable slicer, this is ideal.
Deep fry the potato slices in batches. Once the potatoes are cooked, set them aside over paper towels to soak up extra oil.
In a separate pan, sauté the pre-cooked corned beef and shredded cabbage until the cabbage is slightly wilted.
Place the potato chips on a plate and top with shredded cheddar cheese. Place the corned beef and cabbage mixture on top and garnish with green onions and sour cream.
And that’s all there is to it! Now you’re one step closer to planning that perfect St. Patrick’s Day party. All you have to do now is a little decorating, find the perfect costume, invite your friends over, and have a feast! What’s your favorite St. Patrick’s Day recipe?
