Have Some Fun with April Fools’ Day!

Happy April Fools’ Day! We at PureCostumes.com love playing pranks on coworkers and friends, and April Fools’ Day is the perfect time for some mischief and fun! What better way to celebrate than by faking a pregnancy or setting your roommates keys in Jell-O? If you haven’t already planned a hoax for today, read on for some of our ideas for “punking” your friends today.

Remember a few months ago when people were convinced that the Zombie Apocalypse was upon us? There was a hilarious YouTube video of a man dressed as a zombie who went around chasing people on the street. This year, get inspired to stage your own zombie invasion with the help of zombie prosthetics, make-up and blood and scare the daylights out of your friends and family. Even if you’re not chasing anyone around the neighborhood, it would sure be a funny sight to see a “zombie” watering the garden or grabbing the mail!

Another funny prank would be to spread a rumor around the office saying that the marketing team wants to get in on the “Harlem Shake” video craze by having everyone dress in crazy costumes to perform the dance. Make it believable, and be sure to let everyone know you’ll be dressing up as Spider-Man. The next day at work, when people come dressed up in hilarious costumes, you and your accomplices can sit back and laugh and take plenty of pictures as memorabilia of an epic prank.

Lastly, do the reverse of a prank and simply psyche out a friend with a note that an April Fools’ Day joke is about to happen. Send an “anonymous tip” that so-and-so is planning an elaborate prank and they should be on the watch. They’ll spend the rest of the day looking over their shoulder trying to get a jump on the prank, when in reality… there is no prank!
