Cosplay from the 2016 Long Beach Comic Expo
This weekend, I spent some time at the Long Beach Comic Expo, which was once again a great event. Today, I wanted to share with you some of the cosplay I was able to photograph at the show. It’s a short list, but here are a few favorites:
About a month back, Saturday Night Live did a sketch where Kylo Ren goes on an episode of Undercover Boss as “Matt the Radar Technician.” (If you haven’t seen it, you can watch the skit here.) Funnily enough, there were a couple people who cosplayed as this version of Kylo Ren at the show. This guy even had a name tag that said “Matt.”
Star Wars cosplay is pretty commonplace at any comic convention, but nobody does it quite like the costuming group, 501st Legion. Here’s a shiny Captain Phasma posing in all her glory.
I also found a great-looking Tuskan Raider cosplay as well as Chewbacca and Leia.
Fresh off its Hollywood success, Deadpool has never been more popular. It’s no surprise that there were tons of Deadpool cosplayers at the show.
