Turkey Trot Events Near Los Angeles

Turkey Trots are coming to a town near you! As marathons and fun runs gain popularity as a way to promote health and raise funds for charity, there are more and more events popping up every day. Last month, it was all about zombie walks while this month is all about turkey trots.  These events really put the “fun” in fundraising and if you’re interested in joining the fun, here’s a list of the local turkey trot events near Los Angeles!

Turkey Trot

2015 Long Beach Turkey Trot

This event is hosted by Justin Rudd and the Community Action Team. Their organization hosts activities to raise funds for children, animals, and the environment. This event is expected to have 5,000 participants and the course will be close to local hot spot, Belmont Shore.

San Dimas Turkey Trot

This event will be held at the Frank G Bonelli Regional County Park in the city of San Dimas. Funds raised for this turkey trot will benefit the Hope for the Warriors organization which provides help for veterans, soldiers, and their families.

Turkey Trot LA

Once again, runners dressed as turkeys will take over Downtown LA to help raise money for charity. This year, the funds will be donated to The Midnight Mission which helps homeless people with daily needs, health services, as well as education and job training.

Dana Point Turkey Trot

This will be the 38th year that the city of Dana Point will be hosting this event. This event will also include a Health & Wellness Expo and a costume contest as part of the festivities. The funds raised through this event will go to the Family Assistance Ministries which helps low income people in South Orange County find a path to self-sufficiency through a variety of programs including food, shelter, and other means.

YMCA Burbank Turkey Trot

The YMCA in Burbank will be hosting a Turkey Trot event this year. The funds from this event will help the community center with their programs and activities that serve the community. This event will feature races for every age group and skill level to encourage everyone to join in on the fun.
