#Disneybound: 2016 Spring Dapper Day Outfits
|Is anyone ready for the Spring 2016 Dapper Day? It’s going to be on May 1st this year and we can’t wait! Not familiar with Dapper Day? A group called DAPPER DAY Events organizes two gatherings a year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall, where people can get dressed in their Sunday’s best and meet up at the Disneyland parks in Anaheim, Orlando, and Paris. There’s no specific style of clothing that you have to wear, just as long as you’re “stepping out in style”. Though many participants opt to dress in 50s-style attire as a tribute to when Disneyland was first opened in 1955, everyone’s encouraged to wear their most sophisticated styles from any decade they’d like, including today’s modern fashions.
Since Dapper Day is the perfect excuse to get dressed up and have a fun day at Disneyland, people also opt to Disneybound as well. Today, I’m going to share two Disneybound looks that would also be perfect for Dapper Day!
Ariel
Here’s a Dapper Day look for Ariel. I chose a tight green pencil skirt to be reminiscent of Ariel’s green fins. A cute purple peplum top perfectly complements the pencil skirt and the green pumps match perfectly. I also added white lace gloves and a linen hat because they both add a sophisticated finish to the outfit. If you’re feeling really ambitious, this vibrant red wig will definitely give off Ariel vibes. Finally, I completed the look with accessories any mermaid would fall in love with.
Captain Hook
The next look I have for Dapper Day is Captain Hook. For this look I went with a maroon skirt, a ruffled blouse to imitate the look of Captain Hook’s pirate shirt, and of course, a stylish red blazer. A mini pirate hat adds a fun flair to the outfit while the white lace gloves give it some sophistication. The yellow bag I added was of course, a crocodile pattern and the rest of the jewelry pays homage to the Captain Hook character.
You’re sure to slay it with either of these looks. Whatever you decide to wear to Dapper Day, as long as you’re portraying your best style and have fun with your look, you can’t go wrong.
