Baby Costume Ideas

As a mom, I can relate that one of the most exciting things about having a baby around is getting to dress them up and take cute pictures! Halloween is the perfect opportunity to do just that. You have the perfect excuse to put baby in any costume you want. But sometimes it can be tough to find the perfect one (or ten). We at Pure Costumes want to share with you a few of our favorite ideas to help you get started.

Animals

Polyvore - BabyAnimalsThere are so many adorable animal costumes for babies that it’s hard to pick just one! What we really love about most animal costumes is that they’re nice and warm. October is in the fall and if you happen to live in colder climates, it’s nice to have your little one all bundled up and not have to worry about throwing a blanket on him. This makes it easier to take those cute pictures. It’s especially convenient if you’re taking baby along trick or treating with the older siblings and still want to show off his costume without having to cover up.

Princess Babies

Polyvore - Disney Princess Babies_2If you have a little princess on your hands that you love to spoil rotten, why not dress her up as a Disney Princess for Halloween. Princess costumes are classic and will never go out of style. Maybe you’ve been blessed with a really good sleeper that would perfectly identify with Sleeping Beauty. Or maybe you’ve got a squirmer on your hands that can’t seem to keep her shoes on, sounds like you’ve got a cute little Cinderella. Whichever princess you choose, she’s sure to look royally precious in her costume!

Superheroes

Many little boys dream of being a superhero and saving the world. Give him a head start by dressing him up as a superhero this Halloween. No doubt he’ll have everyone’s attention when they see a tiny Batman or mini Captain America bouncing around town.

Winnie the Pooh

When picking out clothes or costumes for babies, it’s always important to consider the fact that, sometimes, your little one might not want to wear something frilly, or itchy, or hot. If this sounds like your baby, you should definitely consider a bib and hat costume. Chances are, your baby is already used to wearing bibs and hats so he’s not going to fuss when you put on one of these adorable Winnie the Pooh bib and hat costumes. This way, you get the best of both worlds—the perfect photo op and a happy baby.

With so many baby costumes, you’re sure to find something that will fit your baby’s personality and mood. Just be sure to take lots of pictures and have lots of fun! Be sure to check out the rest of our baby costumes (here) to make baby’s first Halloween extra special.
